James Mignacca, CEO, since 2012, James is a proven serial entrepreneur and lifelong technology enthusiast, with over 20 years of experience in Computer Networking and cybersecurity. He has a wide range of experience, from penetration testing programs to designing data centres. He is also experienced in product management, including vulnerability management software, and security operations centres.
James’ Waterloo region tech industry resume includes Sandvine and eSentire, where he has had various roles in sales, business development, and assisting with mergers and acquisitions.
As the CEO of RootCellar Technologies, James took the cybersecurity and disaster recovery company and building out a SaaS Risk Management product referred to as RootSecure Technologies. The RootCellar Technologies division was acquired in 2017. James continued to scale the RootSecure Technologies SaaS business by tripling its revenue and then successfully selling it to Arctic Wolf in 2018 for $18m.
Currently, James is the founder and CEO of Cavelo, where he has launched an attack surface management platform which is designed to consolidate the cybersecurity stack leading with data discovery and classification, risk management and vulnerability management.

A Lt. Colonel (ret) in IDF unit 8200, and previously Technology Director of Israel’s Cyber Authority, David spent decades dealing with state-level cyber threats.
David leads the Cynomi team, and runs the occasional marathon in his free time.
David holds a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel and completed his PhD at CERN.
