Cynomi has done a great job of providing us the opportunity to help our clients achieve their outcomes. We have been able to grow from one or two when we first presented Cynomi to now about 15 licenses outstanding just since January 1 of this year.

Hi, my name is Chris Bevil. I’m the Chief Information Officer here at InfoSystems. We are a professional consulting service really focusing on cybersecurity risk and compliance and cyber threat.

Prior to partnering with Cynomi, the challenge that we faced was we were doing everything manually. We were doing it through a spreadsheet format. By adding Cynomi, we do it all electronically, and it made the customer’s experience and our experience much more enjoyable and much more efficient and effective.

One of the things we’re most excited about with Cynomi is it allows us the opportunity to sell additional services to our customers. Cynomi really does allow us the opportunity to use vCISO services at scale – and really the uniqueness of it being more of a cyber compliance type tool as opposed to just focusing on compliance like some of the bigger, larger competitors.

We are able to talk about the compliance components, the different areas of the dashboard, and we’re able to convert those into other areas – such as, do they need guidance on how to get to their cybersecurity framework goals and objectives that they want to? And with that comes a lot of other opportunities and services.

Here at InfoSystems, we’re really excited to partner with Cynomi. We’re going to have an opportunity to go after an entire new customer base. It was one of the best decisions we’ve made. When we look at their product, when we look at what they are trying to accomplish, we are very much in alignment – our goals and objectives and their goals and objectives – and the partnership has just been outstanding from start to finish.

The Full Story

Advising Clients on Cybersecurity Risk, Compliance, and Threat

InfoSystems is a professional consulting service focused on cybersecurity risk, compliance, and cyber threat. Its team advises clients on strengthening their security posture and meeting their compliance obligations – work that increasingly calls for expert, virtual-CISO-level guidance delivered consistently across a growing base of customers.

The Bottleneck: Doing Everything Manually, in Spreadsheets

Before Cynomi, InfoSystems ran that work by hand. Assessments and client deliverables lived in a spreadsheet format, a manual approach that made the experience harder than it needed to be for both the team and its customers – and one that was difficult to scale as demand grew.

Choosing Cynomi: vCISO at Scale, Not Just Compliance

After going through a full demo, Chris Bevil’s team saw that Cynomi let them take the entire process electronic and deliver vCISO services at scale. What stood out was that Cynomi is a cyber compliance tool, not just a compliance tool like some of the bigger, larger competitors – so InfoSystems could talk through the compliance components and different areas of the dashboard, then convert those conversations into guidance on clients’ cybersecurity framework goals, opening the door to more opportunities and services.

Driving Growth: From 1-2 Licenses to About 15

The results came quickly. InfoSystems grew from just one or two licenses when it first presented Cynomi to about 15 outstanding since January 1. The all-electronic workflow made delivery more enjoyable, efficient, and effective, and gave the team a way to sell additional services to existing customers while going after an entire new customer base. As Chris puts it, partnering with Cynomi was one of the best decisions the company has made – a partnership that has been outstanding from start to finish.

Why InfoSystems chose Cynomi

InfoSystems’ problem was vCISO delivery that ran entirely by hand, in spreadsheets – cumbersome for the team, and no way to scale as demand grew. Cynomi took the whole process electronic and gave InfoSystems a platform built for vCISO services at scale, not just compliance tracking like the larger competitors. That let the team convert dashboard and framework conversations into new services, grow from 1-2 licenses to about 15 since January 1, and open up an entire new customer base.
